Pool Fence Safety

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do i need a Pool Inspection done?

Pool and Spa fence inspections are now needed one every four years.

Do I have to have a pool fence in Victoria?

Yes, it is a legal requirement in Victoria to have a safety fence and have it inspected. This is to ensure it stays safe to the appropriate Australian Standards and is kept in good order.

Do i have to fix things or trim vegitation before you come?

No, I don’t want you to do any unnecessary work or spend money if you don’t have too! We will guide you through the multiple standards and help you with easy-to-understand explanations and images.

What happens if you find an issue?

If during and inspection, we find an issue with an element of the barrier we record it in our report and offer explanations on how it may be best to fix. Often it can be fixed on the spot as its more than likely of minor nature. We might even be able to do this at no charge for you then and there. We carry the tools to do so. If its not something fixable on the day we will make sure you fully understand what is needed and work with you to have it corrected. We will explain the time frame you have to make it right and right it all down, so you have a record of t. If it is an immediate risk to life, we are legally required to issue a noncompliance certificate and report it to the local council. This is the last thing we want to do! We have temperary panels that can be installed to remove or block those issues generally.
